Bee embryos are submerged in deep honeycomb chambers in varying hues of yellow, orange, and red. Opaque black surrounds and contains each hexagonal space. Rough etching of additional chambers on the top contrsts the smooth fired surface of this 7/8" thick glass slab created with multiple layers of fusing sheet glass, powders, and chips.
This artwork can be displayed on a table either on edge or horizontally or wall mounted.
